Dr V Subramanian ,Professor ,Department of Physics, IIT-Madras addressed the students by outlaying the fundamentals of electric and magnetic fields .He introduced the students to the new world of magnetoelectric composites in the domain of emerging materials. The speaker gave insights on the fundamentals of these functional materials and the enormous industrial applications of the said materials. The speaker emphasized the quantum of day to day applications of magnetoelectric composites with the work carried out at his lab at IIT Madras. Students interacted with the expert with all application oriented questions with respect to magnetic sensing and submarine applications.
