On February 12th,2022, The Department of Applied science(Physics) in New Horizon College Of Engineering organized a webinar on “surface characterization techniques for Nanomaterials and its Application”. The webinar was targeted for 1st year BE students to bring awareness to the development in the field of ‘Nanotechnology’ and how it can be incorporated in the Engineering field in various applications. We are indeed happy to see 360 students(approx) attending the session.
The webinar started with the welcome address by New Horizon student Aswin Nair. He introduced the Guest Lecturer Dr.M.Ragam to today’s session. During the webinar she explained about Nanomaterials and their various techniques for the analysis of Nanostructures. she also elaborated the future of Nanotechnology in a variety of applications in Instrumentation. she also covered the topics of ‘SEM’, its advantages and disadvantages. Indeed it was a thought-provoking session not only for students but also for faculty members.
Students were interested and were focused until the end of the session. In the end, the students posted their queries to the speaker and got clarified.
The session was a knowledge-sharing platform for the students. The participants were enriched with vast ideas of Nanomaterials and their applications.
