INDUSTRIAL VISIT - VOLVO TRUCKS (VOLVO GROUP INDIA PVT LTD) 

The Department of Applied Sciences organized an industrial visit to Volvo Trucks for first-year students to provide practical exposure to industrial operations and modern engineering technologies on 26/05/2026. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial applications. Students were introduced to the history, vision, and global presence of Volvo Trucks in the automobile and heavy vehicle manufacturing sector.

 Company officials explained the various stages involved in truck manufacturing, including design, assembly, automation, quality testing, and safety practices. Students also gained insights into sustainable manufacturing methods and advanced engineering technologies adopted by the company. A major highlight of the visit was the opportunity to observe robotic assembly lines and modern machinery used in the production process.

 The industrial experts shared valuable knowledge about innovation, teamwork, engineering standards, and workplace discipline. Students learned about quality control measures and the importance of industrial safety in manufacturing environments. The visit also provided awareness about career opportunities available in the automobile and engineering industries.
