On December 22, we celebrate the birthday of the man who changed the face of mathematical history, Srinivasa Ramanujan. A deeply religious Hindu, Srinivasa Ramanujan credited his substantial mathematical capacities to divinity and said the mathematical knowledge he displayed was revealed to him, by his family goddess. “An equation for me has no meaning,” he once said, “unless it expresses a thought of god.”

On February 7, The BSH members and teachers came together to celebrate the birthday of Srinivasa Ramanujan, to pay tribute to one of the greatest mathematicians in history. The event began with a thought-provoking speech by the Mathematics HOD, DR. Srinivasa G. The event then proceeded by viewing some clips that depicted the life journey of Srinivasa Ramanujan. Then came the event we all were eagerly waiting for. A math quiz, conducted in 3 rounds. A rush of students participated in the event. All the participants gave their best and the winners were awarded certificates by the Mathematics HOD and club co-ordinators.
