Mathrubhasha Diwas 2026

The Department of Applied Sciences, in association with the STEM Club, celebrated Mathrubhasha Diwas 2026 on 21st February under the theme “My Language, My Pride.” The event aimed to promote the importance of mother tongues and highlight India’s linguistic and cultural diversity. It began with the National Song, setting a patriotic and unified tone among the audience. A graceful Invocation Dance followed, creating a spiritual and welcoming atmosphere. The dignitaries then performed the traditional Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing knowledge and marking the formal start of the programme. The Principal delivered an inspiring talk on valuing one’s mother tongue and embracing cultural identity amidst globalization. A vibrant cultural programme showcased a melodious solo song and three group dances representing classical, folk, and contemporary styles. A colorful Fashion Walk added charm as students displayed traditional attire from various Indian regions. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks acknowledging everyone’s contributions. The celebration ended with the National Anthem, reinforcing unity and appreciation for India’s rich cultural heritage.
